Biography and Vita

Leaving the University for Music and Performing Arts Munich (Germany) as Bachelor in Vocal Performing with Prof. Reri Grist and C.H. Ahnsjö Juan Carlos Falcón got his first contracts at the Opera Houses of Coburg, Hof and Regensburg (Germany).

From 2002 to 2016 he worked as a freelance opera, oratory and concert singer. He performed operas from Händel, Mozart, Donizetti, Strauss and Rossini at the Theatres of Gelsenkirchen, Münster, Kaiserslautern (Germany), St. Gallen (Switzerland), Klagenfurt (Austria), the State Opera Houses of Nürnberg, Hannover, Munich, the Volksoper Vienna, the Theatre du Capitole Toulouse (France) and the Bregenz Festival (Austria).

Main contracts since 2013:

World premier of L. Cherubin’s "Koukourgi" in the main character and the World Premier of F. Cerha’s opera "The President".

In season 2015 he sang Pedrillo in Mozart’s "Abduction from the Seraglio", Bob Boles in Britten’s "Peter Crimes" and recently the main character in Händel’s "Jephta" (Munich).

Besides his stage roles he sings "Die Winterreise" from Schubert (Munich, Bayreuth), Händel’s oratory "Messiah" (Regensburg), "The Seasons" from Haydn in Tokyo, "St. Matthew Passion" in New York and "Mozart Requiem" at the Concertgebow Amsterdam.

Since 2016 Juan Carlos Falcón belongs to the opera company at "Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz" Munich.

Since 2015 he is a voice teacher for the Choir "Cantemus" in the city of Regensburg.
